Philips is maybe the most forthcoming company when it comes to 3DTV. Already they have a series of 3D TV sets called WOWvx. These 3D TV screens is flat and looks like an ordinary HD LCD TV but the screen is really 3D and can be watched at from an 120 degrees angle in nearly the same quality as HD TV in 2 dimensions.
Philips is one of the greatest TV manufactorers in the world, already in the forefront of producing high quality flat-screen HD TV sets. Philips are currently producing HD TV based on several technologys, including LCD TV and Plasma TV. The new 3D TV technology is not so hard to implement into the existing DLP TV technology, and Philips can therefor benefit from its existing TV technology and its distributors to launch their new 3D HD TV.
Philps have been bold ebough to show off their big 3D TVs on several technology fairs. According to the Philips representatives the big TVs could be sold for $12000 and the smaller ones about $3000. This means that the 3D-TV Philips is selling is mainly aiming at the professional market, that is the digital signage market and the advertisement markets. Of course these prices will drop as more people gives interests for the machines.
